Abstract

The new DIN 4093 contains important rules for the design of strengthened soil installed by jet grouting, soil mixing or grouting. Unlike in the old German grouting standard code, aspects of execution, which are content of European standards, are no longer included. This publication explains essential requirements and recommendations of this completely new standard code as well as some particularities which have to be obeyed prior to the application of the named technologies.
