Abstract

Cognitive and physical assistance systems can assist in manual assembly work to handle rising numbers of product variants. This article shows how to integrate cognitive and physical assistance systems at a modular assembly workplace. During the integration of the assistance systems an early involvement of the assembly worker benefits the acceptance of new digital technologies.
