Abstract
Over the last few years a series of measures have proved their worth in the reduction of noise and vibration emanating from railway tunnel structures. Among the most effective are mass-spring systems. This article describes practical solutions with and without ballast roadbed, and solutions using prefabricated parts or concrete slabs cast in situ.
