Abstract
We determine by Monte Carlo simulations the orientation-dependent growth velocity for an interface between the stable phase and the metastable phase in a two-dimensional Ising model. The dynamics does not conserve the order parameter. According to the range of temperature and field, three regimes are identified and comparison is made in some limiting cases with existing theories. Using the nonequilibrium Wulff construction, growth shapes are calculated.
