Abstract

The detailed chemical kinetic model for high pressure CH4/O 2 combustion has been enlarged for to allow for modelling of low pressure and low temperature operating conditions 0.02 MPa < p < 0.1 MPa, 900 K < T < 1800 K and 0.5 < φ < 3.0. The main model improvements have been performed for H2/CO submodels concerning the new data for reaction rates and verification of data for pressure depending reactions. Sensitivity and rate of production analyses were applied to compare the main reaction paths at low - and high pressure methane combustion. Developed model have been reduced with RedMaster code based on the global sensitivity analysis. Obtained skeletal model keeps predictive capabilities of input detailed mechanism.
