Abstract
Designers can apply innovative ICs for high volume products rapidly and cost-effectively with the novel digital signal processors (DSP). Function and algorithm-specific ICs based on DSP cores offer high design flexibility for system partitioning. Siemens has also used these cores to develop macrocells for embedded core applications. Siemens' SPC/SPCE cores are distinguished by a compact core architecture with matching interfaces.
