Abstract
Artificial intelligence is a research question and a branch of computer science that aims at the autonomous solution of problems through technical systems. A branch of computer science has tackled this issue and provided some solutions over the years. Several AI applications are already in use in public administration in German-speaking countries. These technologies already offer great potential for administrative reform. What an AI-based administration looks like, however, is not determined by the technology, but depends on its design in the coming years.
