Investigations on the reflection of conifers with water stress and different degrees of defoliation with regard to external parameters such as sun inclination and background

There is an increasing interest in using remote sensing techniques for vegetation damage assessment. Nevertheless, it has also become clear that the comprehensive use of digital data still needs more information on the reflection characteristics of trees with regard to the influence of external parameters due to natural surroundings (eg sun inclination, background). Two of the main stress symptoms of diseased trees are water stress and defoliation.
