Abstract

In this contribution a numerical technique combining time - domain integral - equations (TD- IE) with the transmission - line -matrix (TLM) method is presented. This hybrid method allows the efficient electromagnetic coupling of distributed remote TLM subdomains. The empty space between the individual TLM subdomains is not discretized and thus does not contribute to the total computational effort. The computational effort of the hybrid method is further reduced using the total - field/scattered - field (TF/SF) technique and the plane -wave time - domain (PWTD) algorithm. The hybrid TD- IE/TLM method is used for the modeling of a typical UWB radio link scenario directly in the time - domain.
