Abstract
On going gender inequality in entrepreneurship has sparked interest in male ally ship as a tool for inclusion. While existing research explores motivations and missteps, it lacks insight into the barriers men face and how they overcome them. Based on interviews with 22 effective male allies, we find that challenging stereotypical in group norms influences their perception of obstacles and shapes their relational, advocative, or systemic strategies. These findings offer a deeper understanding of how overcoming barriers is central to the evolving practice of allyship in entrepreneurship.
