Abstract

In line with the rising application of information and communication technologies, new opportunities and challenges result for the field of industrial production. This article displays that a systematic analysis of the production environment is necessary from the point of digitalization in order to enable a goal oriented design of the ICT use in the production system. To meet this issue methodically, a system will be introduced, which provides a framework to support the decision making process.
