Abstract
Integrated product development requires computer assisted methods to an increasing extent. With an integrated working place for design, a solution approach is demonstrated for optimizing the development of products by profiting from the benefits of electronic data processing. The application of the working place to obtain a collaboration between design, calculation and assembly planning, reaching beyond a single sector, is exemplified in this article.
