Abstract

The number of people involved in the factory planning process- is considerable, with, for example, production, building and media planners working together with external suppliers on a factory planning project. Ensuring high-quality planning results calls for a structured and comprehensively defined planning process, the results of which must nevertheless be thoroughly checked over before implementation for the purposes of avoiding any delays and adjustments that might arise in the factory building process from planning errors. This article describes a method by way of which such adjustment costs can be minimized by using process modules and 3D models in the integral factory planning process.
