Abstract
A case study from the goods industry. This article sets out to discuss the application of the bionics working method for finding innovative solutions. It describes a real development process in which a simple nozzle concept for vacuum cleaners was found, inspired by biological systems and enabling 20 per cent more cleaning performance than conventional systems. On the basis of this case study a close look is taken at adaptational measures on the side of process schemes and method application that are necessary to the efficient use of bionics.
