Abstract

The importance of PVC/PMMA blend polymer electrolytes and their electrochemical properties, in which PVC acted as a phase-separated mechanical rigid metwork was discussed. The morphologies and the ionic conductivities of the plasticized polymer electrolyte and the effect of the morphology on the characteristics of the ionic conduction were also analyzed. FTIR studies suggested changes in the environment of functional groups complex formation. The introduction of a ceramic filler, ZrO2, in the electrolyte improved both electrical and mechanical properties of electrolyte films.
