Abstract

Because of the increasing application of combustible insulation materials made of renewable raw materials and recycled building materials, their influence on the characteristics of assemblies is important. Mainly fire protection aspects like the behaviour against smouldering and fully-developed fires as well as the smoke gas potential have to be considered when using combustible insulation materials in timber-framed constructions.
