Abstract
Pulse amplification can be achieved by step recovery diodes if carriers are injected by an input pulse in the forward direction, the diode is open for a pulse which follows immediately in the reverse direction. This output pulse may have a much higher voltage amplitude than the input pulse. Experiments were performed at 250 Mbit/sec.
