Abstract
The share of electric vehicles (EVs) integrated into the distribution grid has been increasing significantly over the years. By studying their behaviour, it is possible to better utilize the flexibility offered by EV through aggregation and coordination. Based on the energy requirements and vehicle availabilities at the charging station, EV charging schedules can be obtained considering multiple objectives. In this study, a mixed-integer model is developed using Python to compute the EV load profile considering different coordinated charging schemes. Using these results, the aggregated flexibility service potential of the EVs are evaluated. The execution of flexibility service and post-flexibility impacts on the grid are studied. The results show that the flexibility service implementation introduces rebound effects and the impacts can be managed using incentives and coordinated flexibility disaggregation.
