Abstract

The impact of electromobility on 15 real medium voltage grids from six typical urban building structures is examined in this study. The analysis is based on load flow calculations as well as modeling of typical private and public charging location types with average daily load profiles. According to the simulation results, the grid integration of 100 % penetration with electric vehicle is possible for different charging strategies in seven of the 15 examined grids. While the combination of electric vehicles and high penetration of heat pumps leads to high overloading of lines, the voltage drop remains low.
