Abstract
The adsorption of N2O on W(110) and Ru(001) has been investigated by means of XPS and UPS including some angle-dependent measurements. Besides dissociation, molecular N2O states were observed, which could be identified to be physisorbed horizontally. On Ru(001), an additional weakly chemisorbed state can coexist which is vertically adsorbed via its terminal N atom.
