Abstract

Converters aiming at high power density and efficiency require an optimized design of their constituent components. In this context, the detailed knowledge of the harmonic spectrum generated by the converter is very important in order to design EMC filters and passive components. This work presents a theoretical analysis of the input voltage generated by multi-state switching cells-based single-phase multilevel rectifiers, including its harmonic contents. The proposed study is supported by simulation and experimental results.
