Heterogeneous C-H Activation for the Heterocycle Synthesis

Abstract

Carbon-hydrogen bond underlies the extraordinary array of molecules. Considering its high abundance, the direct and selective transformation of C-H bond represents as an important and long-standing goal in modern chemistry. In the present Chapter, we intend to comprehensively summarize the recent advances of C-H activation for the heterocycle synthesis enabled by heterogeneous catalysis. Key approaches leading to selective transformation were outlined. We also discuss the mechanistic aspects of the catalysis.
