Abstract
Pressed and tempered CaB//6 was used as a deoxidant. Contents up to 0. 4 wt. % of boron are realized. Tensile strength of 350 to 450 N/mm**2 can be established by thermomechanical treatment (solution heating, cold working, ageing). The hardness is 130 to 150 HV 3. Under special conditions of solution heating an effusion of boron is observed which can be stopped. The electrical conductivity remains high under these treatments. Cu-B-microalloys also have resistance to corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement.
