N2 - The integration of renewable energies and the intensified European market integration lead to a significantly higher demand of transmission capabilities in the German transmission grid. The higher utilization of the existing networks is primarily examined in order to realize these transmission capabilities at short notice. In particular, the impact on system stability and the associated challenges should be examined in this context. On the one hand the investigation is carried out by analyses in system planning and on the other hand by a continuous monitoring of the system behaviour. In both cases, necessary accompanying measures can be identified in order to allow a higher loading of the network at an acceptable level of security.
