Abstract

In the present experiments GVHD was studied in DLA-identical littermates with respect to DLA homozygosity of parents and sex difference between donor and recipient. Recipients were prepared with total body irradiation, received blood leukocyte transfusions from their donor in addition to marrow, and were not given further immunosuppressive therapy. Under these conditions early and severe GVHD was observed in some of the dogs.
