Gliomatosis cerebri is a disease of the CNS, characterized by diffuse infiltration of wide parts of the nervous tissue with neoplastic glial cells but with minimal alteration of the physiological texture. With an example of an adult European Shorthair cat with central nervous symptoms this rare tumor is shown with regard to the clinical manifestation, the clinical and neuropathological diagnosis and the differential diagnosis.
