Abstract

An attempt was made to compare the spectral diffusion dynamics of a dye probe (resorufin) in protonated and deuterated glycerol/H2O-glass with the respective one of a chromoprotein, namely mesoporphyrin substituted horseradish peroxidase, in the same matrix but with a different concentration of the glass-forming constituents. Spectral diffusion broadening of photochemical holes was measured. In all samples, strong aging phenomena were observed.
