Abstract
This paper proposes a mathematical method to analyze and generate carrier based modulations (CBM) patterns from space vector modulation (SVM) theory. CBM patterns are reviewed and novel hybrid CBMs (HCBM) are proposed. These are obtained from known CBMs and illustrated with simulation results. A prototype was built to implement the CBMs. Finally, experimental results are presented.
