Abstract
The German Drive Technology Research Association FVA has for ca. 20 years offered its member firms the ESGETA (FVA spur gear programme) , available from the Munich Technical University Machine Parts Faculty Transmission Gear Research Centre. The supplementary programme edits and analyses the input data via personal computers and selection menus. Coloured dialogue and text windows and context-sensitive aid to the use of the ESGETA, and a simple control procedure are capable of further refinement. A preprocessor (subroutine) and graphical and textural output easily programmed by the user are already provided. (R.H.)
