N2 - The present development and technological status of solid rockets in Germany - propellants, engine components and systems - are described and compared to western standards as published in the literature. Technological highlights are presented such as propellants for ram rockets and gas generators, thrust vector control, high acceleration propulsion, and performance prediction. Trends for the future technology of solid propellant rockets are discussed and analyzed with respect to the aspects of future weapons and program selection methodics.
