Full Quantum Approaches to a Dispersive Transmission Line using Josephson Junctions

Abstract

We present two promising approaches that provide a full quantum description for the dissipation and thermal fluctuations in a dissipative-dispersive Josephson traveling-wave parametric amplifier, and highlight the advantages of both approaches.
