Abstract
Undesired deformations may occur when milling thin-walled work pieces. These deflectionsare caused by mechanical and thermal influences arising from the process and may significantly reduce the quality of the machining results. The main objective of this research project ismodeling the causes of distortion, the simulation of their effects and finally their compensation.
