Abstract
At the moment the efficiency of assembly is increasingly improved by means of organisational changes. But at precision and microassembly it is still possible to substantially increase productivity by improving the processes themselves. That is because the currently available process technology does not offer enough flexibility for the economical assembly of products with multiple variants at medium quantities.
