Abstract
We present a first scattering experiment with MIEZE, a new high-resolution neutron spectrometer located in the guide hall of the Laboratoire Léon Brillouin. As a variant of neutron spin-echo it measures the intermediate scattering function. In opposition to spinecho it is able to measure spin-incoherent scattering without attenuation of the signal. This was demonstrated on the first sample, viscous glycerol at two different temperatures.
