Existing approaches of the variable generations are extensively limited on special technologies of single domain. To our best knowledge there is no existing comprehensive approach presently to systematically put variability of machines and equipment or of durable consumer products into intelligible form. The draft introduced here evaluates existing approaches of software technology with requirements for the structure and presentation of variable products of other, hardware related domains.
