Abstract
The optimization of internal logistics processes requires a detailed record of the processes which considers the material flow, information flow and the therefore used resources. In this regard this review compares and evaluates several common methods of process representation. The various strengths and weaknesses are summarized in a benchmark that serves as the basis for a new method that was developed under the research project, IGF-16187 N / 1.
