Abstract

Several production steps characterize the manufacturing process of electrode materials for battery cells. Due to new technological developments in logistics, the process steps can be connected differently having an impact on the flexibility of the production. For example, the material flow can be adjusted more difficult by linking the plants with fixed conveyor belts. Reducing personnel in clean and dry rooms is essential for rising economic efficiency. This results in new requirements and challenges for logistic planning. This work shows a concept for designing and evaluating intralogistics processes in the tension between flexibility, automation, and economic efficiency.
