Abstract

A research project was carried out at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to study the fire spread in timber-frame buildings. This paper describes the main results of the pre-examinations in timber buildings after fires, which were analyzed in cooperation with insurance companies and of real fire tests in a timber building.
