Abstract
The new bridge with outer grids at the Rhine Power Station Eglisau in Switzerland, which is classified as a historical monument, is currently under construction. The six-span building replaces the existing 156 m bridge. During the construction of the underwater pillars and the assembly of the new bridge, the outer grid shall be screened preferably without transition from the existing construction. The current production of the power station has to be maintained during the whole construction period and the transversal displacing of the bridge. This paper describes the statical, constructive and assembly-related features of the building lying partly under water.
