Abstract
An indication for nutritional therapy of hyperuricemia and gout must be given when the uric acid level exceeds 7.Omg/100 ml. This treatment must be maintained when clinical complications or the high uric acid level necessitate medicamentous intervention. A causal therapy focussing on deficient nutrition should not be discarded in any stage of hyperuricemia and gout.
