N2 - A healthy diet is one of the most important requirements for a long life without diseases. Vice versa, a poor diet including too many calories, high intake of saturated fats, sugar, salt, processed food and meat, leads to early death due to an enhanced incidence of a variety of illnesses, also in the field of gynecology. Incorrect nutrition, especially that leading to obesity, increases the incidence of cancer in women, such as breast, ovarian and endometrial cancer. Additionally, endometriosis and disorders of fertility can also be caused and influenced by alimentary factors. Therefore, nutritional counselling in gynecological practice is an important adjustment point in the prevention of frequent gynecological diagnoses.
