Abstract
This work demonstrates the applications of laser spectroscopy for highly sensitive detection of harmful substances. Presented is an on-line polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) measurement system based on laser-induced and time-resolved fluorescence. This consists of a fast nitrogen laser as the light source and a fast digital storage oscilloscope in addition to connecting quartz fiber optics, monochromator, mirror, and beam trap. Work in progress are the deconvolution algorithms.
