Abstract
Summarized results of a Delphi study. Successful business enterprises prefer to bundle their competencies with those of development partners rather than going it alone. The trends currently prevailing in the automobile and components industries are necessitating more efficient and effective designing and handling of operations in the cooperational arrangements and process networks. This article discusses key questions concerning their realization: How can the division of labour between OEM and component supplier be best designed? Which lines of action and which organizational fields within development partnerships are likely to lead to success? How is the management of development partnerships implemented?
