Abstract

This paper proposes a new concept for the emulation of resistive networks, in particular the automotive power net. The emulator consists of a two-dimensional matrix of variable resistors that can mathematically be described by directed multigraphs. A mapping algorithm is used to find a valid parametrization of the emulator according to the power net that has to be emulated. Finally, a MOSFET-based prototype for the variable bidirectional resistor is presented and validated with measurements.
