Abstract
Swiss researchers have developed textile scaffold structures for tissue engineering and other medical applications. The embroidery structure is built up from defined stitches that do not allow relative movement of yarns, as occurs with knitted interlock structures. The structure has been tested and compared to a knitted structure tested in the same way and the results are discussed here.
