Abstract

Mapping of the electric near-field distribution of a free-running planar 7GHz resonator with a novel femtosecond laser based electro-optic measurement sytem is demonstrated. The measured near-field radiation pattern gives direct evidence for the presence of parasitic patch and microstrip modes predicted by electric field integral equation simulations.
