Abstract
The variations of the total ozone amount at ten european stations were correlated in couples. The correlation coefficients decrease exponentially with increasing distance of the stations. From this exponential law the mean extension of low stratospheric air-parcels was determined to be 670 km. On computing the correlation coefficients a time shift was observed which demonstrates the predominantly zonal west east ozone transport.
