Abstract
We present a navigation assistance system for a more robust and efficient speech-based dialog with navigation systems. By driver- and situation-adaptive weighting of all German locations regarding their relevance as potential destination, ambiguous location names can be assigned to the desired destination for reducing system requests. This information is also used for an adaptive limiting of the speech recognizer's location-vocabulary, as well as for an intelligent offering of the default destination. The destination prediction is based on a quantitative analysis of the correlation of destination and situation, with the system being able to reason about not attended locations and unknown situations.
