Abstract
Integrated construction workplace for machine tools. Long development periods and suboptimum machine designs can be avoided by the use of processes which already enable the characteristics of machine tools to be assessed in the concept and design phase. The combination of 3D CAD construction and integrated and calculation methods enables the optimization of characteristics on a virtual prototype and thus helps cut time and costs while significantly reducing the development risk.
