Abstract
For the analysis of space-time effects in large LWR cores, numerous methods have been developed. It is the purpose of this paper to discuss advantages, drawbacks, and limitations of 3 typical methods which have been developed by the authors. The methods discussed are; Du Fort-Frankel approximation for fast transients, matrix decomposition method for slow transients, and course mesh finite-difference method for long-time simulation of large LWR cores.
